Kit de Waal's debut novel My Name is Leon has already made a big splash in the book industry since its release June 2 with Penguin Viking.

The novel, written from the point of view of nine year old Leon, is set in the early eighties and follows the story of two brothers when they're separated after they go into care. De Waal, inspired by her time working in criminal and family law, has created a novel that's warm, heart-wrenching and impossible to put down. With praise from bestselling authors including Rachel Joyce, Emma Healey and Chris Cleave, My Name is Leon is sure to be a big success.
